Windsong Resort: Our Home Away From Home

While researching islands and resorts to celebrate my wife’s 40th birthday back in 2017, we discovered Windsong On The Reef in Turks and Caicos. Our group fell in love the second we arrived, and we knew this wouldn’t be the only visit. The next trip came very quickly! As parents of two teenage girls who are now resort experts, we knew that they would also love Windsong, and we weren’t wrong.
We couldn’t have asked for a better location. Windsong Resort sits directly on Grace Bay with a vibrant protected reef just offshore, where we have spent many hours snorkeling and viewing the amazing sealife. When we recommend the resort to others, I always go back to how beautiful and spacious the accommodations are. Friends have been so impressed by our enthusiasm that they’ve taken our advice and booked into Windsong Resort for their own vacations!
We have mostly stayed in the 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom Oceanfront suites, but recently were able to stay in a 2-bedroom Oceanfront Penthouse. All of these suites are just amazing for spending time with a group of friends or your family. From the décor to the ample amount of space, it is sometimes hard to leave your suite.
That said, the Penthouse was simply spectacular. We spent most nights - before or after dinner - on the roof looking out at the sea. It really is picture perfect.
Starting your day at Dune for beachside breakfast is a must-do. Nothing says you chose the right place more than being steps from the ocean and enjoying a delicious breakfast. The chef at Windsong is top in our book, so don’t miss lunch or dinner when staying here
Food tips: we love the Nachos, and Pasta Night is also a family favorite. As an Arnold Palmer fan, I’m partial to the bar that serves Tito’s Handmade Vodka, and my wife loves the Miami Vice drinks!
After years of visits, Windsong On The Reef feels like our Caribbean home. The staff remembers our names and really feels like family to us. The updates to the Oceanfront building are so nice, and the new Beachfront building is a must see. Roof Top Terrace Bar...yes please! With its bird’s eye view, we even got to see a marriage proposal on the beach and shared a special moment with the family of the newly engaged couple! Just amazing!
If you're searching though the resorts on Grace Bay, my advice is to stop searching now and book Windsong On The Reef. I can’t recommend the resort and its people enough. No matter what, we always return to Windsong, and definitely will again soon!
