Customs and Immigration

A valid passport is required and visitors may stay for 90 days per visit without requesting an extended stay. All visitors must hold a round trip ticket. All visitors arriving via international ights and connecting to any other TCI islands through Providenciales must first clear immigration and customs and claim baggage at PLS before making the connection through the domestic departure area at the Provo Airport. Duty-free Imports: $400 for residents; $60 for visitors and 50 cigars, 200 cigarettes, 1.136 liters of spirits or wine

and perfume for personal use. No restrictions for travelers on the import of cameras, lm or sports equipment. To bring in rearms of any type (including spear guns and Hawaiian slings), you must have written approval from the Commissioner of Police. Controlled drugs and pornography are illegal.

Providenciales International Airport

Providenciales International Airport (PSL) is a modern, full-service airport. It welcomes dozens of international ights every week from North America, Europe and other Caribbean Islands. It is also the gateway to the rest of the Turks & Caicos Islands. Currently it is under expansion and will provide for jumbo jet non-stop travel from major cities from across the globe. Check the airport web site for up-to-date ight schedules and route maps. For luggage restrictions, individual airlines should be consulted.

Island Driving

Visitors from British Commonwealth countries, U.S., Canada and holders of an international driver’s license can drive for 30 consecutive days. Visitors from other countries must obtain a Visitor’s Permit at the Road Safety Department. All drivers are required to drive in the left lane.
