Situated in the Caribbean (in the West Indies) 575 miles southeast of Miami, the Turks & Caicos Islands are comprised of eight major islands and 30 other islands and cays, bathed by waters from the North Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea.
One of the most valuable possessions of the islands are the pristine white
sandy beaches, which in total cover 230 miles and are complemented
with clear turquoise waters. The region is renown for its crystal clear coral reefs and legacy of salt. In fact, Turks & Caicos has the third-largest coral reef system in the world. These reefs prevent the deep cold ocean water from entering the bay, so the temperature never gets too cold. Healthy reefs translate into lots of fish, and the clear waters make them easy to see, thus, divers love Turks & Caicos.
